If this the reports are true, then the murders appear to be a result of drug abuse. And if so, he didn't obtain the firearm legally.

We shouldn’t start focusing on the mention of “mental,” because the Democrats will go blast towards requiring expensive, lengthy mental evaluations of every owner of any firearm and banning everyone who has any minor neurosis. And most psychologists are lefties.
The drug abuse aspect, though, now that’s something. And it’s already covered by law. All they need to do is enforce it.

It seems from what little we know, that police would have a good ID by now. No telling what else they’ve encountered. Sometimes, things aren’t as they appear to be at first. We’ll see.

If you have a true nutcase in your possession (as the police)...consider the conversation you’d be having with the guy, and that it makes no sense as you ask the same five questions over and over....getting no sense out of the guy.
You gaze at this nutcase, and eventually will envision that probably over 10,000 nutcases like this exist in the US, and things are mostly unsafe because you can’t do much of anything with them.

I’m seeing people are pushing the meme that a black perp would not be taken alive. Always lying to sow racial division.
In just a few minutes, I was able to compile this list of black shooters who killed multiple people and were taken alive.
Robert Hayes shot and killed 4 women in Daytona Beach between 2005 and 2006. Taken alive and is still in jail.
Emanuel Kidega Samson shot and killed one woman and wounded 8 others in Antioch, Tennesee in 2017. Samson was captured and sentenced to life in prison.
Aeman Presley murdered 4 people with a handgun in 2014. Taken alive and is serving life without parole.
Dontae Morris shot and killed five people in Tampa in 2010, then shot and killed two police officers as they attempted to arrest him. Taken alive and serving Life Imprisonment in Florida.
John Allen Muhammad, the Beltway Sniper, killed 10 people in Maryland in 2002. He and accomplice Lee Boyd Malvo were captured alive.
We know that Marijuana is a psychoactive drug, and it’s now “legal” to buy and [illegally] share with children in Colorado.
Yeah my co-worker had a kid in the school that was shot up in 2019.

No my co-worker was American.
Marijuana has nothing to do with the H1B Indian trash infesting the United States. And yes, there are quite a number of H1B scumbags in Boulder. Whole neighborhoods are infested and look more like Bangalore than Boulder, especially north, like Niwot, Gunbarrel and Longmont.
