Wee need to ask the obvious question: If and when did he get the Covid shot?
Hank Aaron, Larry King and Marvin Hagler all died within two weeks of getting the shot.

Jerry West, Gale Goodrich, Wilt Chamberlain, Chick Hearn. The Celtics.
Yep
Those were the days, my friend
we thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance
forever and a day.

They called him the man with a thousand moves.
He once scored 71 points for the Lakers, it was a team record that would not be surpassed until Kobe Bryant scored 81 points in against the Toronto Raptors in January 2006. The 61 points he scored in Game 5 of the NBA Finals in 1962 is still an NBA Finals record.

Why? Will he be less dead?
To: MarvinStinson
He was a gentleman the times I met him. Not like many of his co-enshinees.

No championships. But no felonies either.

Koby was a punk.
Wilt the Stilt didn't do it as a Laker, but he became one.
And did Kobe star in a Conan the Barbarian movie? No. No he didn't.

I got to see him play a couple of times in 1970-71 when I was stationed in San Diego. That was the golden age of the NBA.

The Big E was Elvin Hayes, another all-time great.
My family had Laker season seats when I was a kid in the early ‘70s, right across the aisle from Chick Hearn. Used to go down to court side near the basket during warmups, and Chamberlain and Baylor in particular would often take a little time to engage with the young fans down there. Class acts, all of them.

Yep, those were the days of the San Diego Rockets. Not many remember that San Diego had an NBA team at one time.

I dont think any team has won 33 in a row like the Lakers did in early 70’s. Chick Hearns creative descriptions really added to the enjoyment. He could really rattle off the info on a play. Some fun ones below...
“Puts him in the popcorn machine,
Lakers can’t buy a basket,
Lakers can’t throw a pea in the ocean,
Defense is so bad, my grandma could score,
Mustard came off the hotdog,
Blows the layup!,
Dribble drive,
Sulam Dunk!!
Shoots a leapin’ lena,
Finger roll,
Game’s in the refrigerator,
He’s all over the place like a cheap suit,
No harm, no foul, or
No harm, no teeth, no blood, no foul
and finally...
He coulda’ made that call in braille...

Yep. Chick and Vinny. The two best EVER. And both in Los Angeles (back when L.A. was still part of America).

Agreed. A lot of socially polluted water has gone under the bridge.
