Isn’t Israel the most vaccinated country in the world? It is.
Haven’t half of all Israelis already been vaccinated? Yes, they have.
Haven’t 90% of all Israelis over 60 (the age-group most likely to die from Covid) already been vaccinated? Yes.
Then how did “Israel manage to double the number of deaths it accumulated in the prior ten months of the pandemic”…“within two months of intensive inoculation with the Pfizer vaccine”? And, why have Orthodox Jews and the Israeli Arabs experienced a sudden and dramatic shift in cases and fatalities when both groups had similar numbers prior to the vaccination campaign? Here is an excerpt from an interview with journalist Gilad Atzmon who explains what’s actually happened:
Once the vaccination campaign started, we saw a very interesting shift. While the Orthodox Jews went en masse to get “the jab”, the Palestinians (Israeli Arabs) did not follow this pattern. In the early stages of the vaccination campaign, in January, we saw a rise of 15 times as many morbidity cases in the Orthodox Jewish segment while we saw a significant drop (in morbidity) in the Israeli Arab segment. By not taking the vaccine, the level of morbidity dropped sharply. It was then that I began to figure out there was a connection between vaccination and morbidity.

Russian parliament house passes bill allowing Putin to run for two more terms

Russia’s lower house of parliament the State Duma approved a bill on Wednesday, enabling incumbent President Vladimir Putin to run for two more terms starting 2024.
The draft law on elections, which was approved in the State Duma’s third or final reading, was made in pursuance of constitutional amendments adopted in a nationwide referendum in July 2020.
One of the 206 constitutional amendments stipulates that the limit of two presidential terms applies to the incumbent head of state, but without taking into account his previous terms.
In light of the amendment, the bill grants Putin the possibility of starting his presidency from scratch in 2024 and holding the office for two more terms until 2036.
In accordance with the bill, a Russian citizen, who is at least 35 years old, has been a permanent resident of the country for at least 25 years, and has never held citizenship or a residence permit of a foreign state, can be as elected Russian president.
The bill needs to be passed by the Federation Council, the upper house of parliament, and then to be signed by Putin into law.

We’re in a fine mess. The people that have not been vaccinated are going to have to figure out how to protect themselves from the people that have been vaccinated. Is my simple read on this correct? I’m the only hold out in my extended family and now I have to worry about them shedding the virus when I’m around them. I guess the only consolation is that my immune system has not been compromised by the vaccine.

Not just interesting. Potentially devastating, even decimating. I can't share this with people I know have already been vaccinated. They'll have to find out by themselves.
