Does Newsom, or anyone in authority, have any plans to overhaul and expand our electrical generating capacity, to recharge all these electric cars?

It is absurd to ban “fossil fuel” vehicles without having electrical capacity to recharge all the new electric vehicles.

It's not absurd, it's evil. They know what they are doing. If you think people would suddenly be without the ability to freely move about the country, you're right. That's the commie plan.

The game is not to build enough generating capacity. The plan is to limit the people’s access to individual means of transportation

You will not own a vehicle. You will purchase trips when necessary.

These planners are very serious about their goals.

Absurd??
You bet. Perhaps what needs to occur is reaching an electrical capacity threshold where these idiots must make a decision whether to keep the lights on or charge their grocery-getters for the night.

All this hoopla over EV’s and no discussion about increasing electrical generation capacity or the pollution consequences of manufacturing all those millions upon millions (billions) of vehicle batteries. From what I’ve read these car batteries are very large, heavy and very expensive. I imagine recharge cycles will vary too.

AND - not counting the cost of building the infrastructure to charge these things while on the go. There would need to be a charging station on every corner to replace gasoline.

Stupid ideas from short sighted people.

You have to remember that the two Senators ClownCar and Grabbin Nuisance don’t have to deal with transportation the way the peasants do.

Of course it is. But you are making a false assumption -- that electric travel will be as plentiful as gasoline travel. NOT SO.

The tyrants will limit your travel, your mobility. What, you want freedom?

In the future electrical generation will not use fossil fuel either, right? So we're talking half the amount of electrical power we have now.

There will be strict rationing of electricity.

You will have a simple choice: drive your car, or heat/cool your home. NOT BOTH.

And what about our rolling blackouts and shutting down electrical during high wind and heat events. This makes NO sense.
