Siege is such a ridiculous word to use for this event, pure agitprop.

Siege : a military blockade of a city or fortified place to compel it to surrender

In history, sieges were events of many days duration, if not months.

This protest event delayed the ratification of the electoral college vote by a few hours.

It wasn't even a full fledged riot. It was a small group within a large group. Only a full actually entered the buildings and not even one person had a weapon.

Look at the videos...People are walking away or trying to walk away from the melee.

AF-BLM have been doing this for the past year now at Federal courthouses and other places. And the media and Democrats deny what it is, instead proclaiming their riots and secessesionist movements are “mostly peaceful”.
