Marty Haggard sings "Mama's Hungry Eyes" on Country's Family Reunion
Jump to the 5:40 mark in this 11-min video. It's where Merle's son Marty talks for a minute or so about his late grandmother (Merle's mother) before he sings Merle's hit "Mama's Hungry Eyes". The song begins at about the 7:30 mark and continues to the end of the 11 minute video. The entire video is good, but I wanted the MH fans among us to see and hear how much his son Marty looks and sounds likes him.

Oh my!
Thanks very much for posting this.
You’re welcome. Glad you liked it.
Just curious, did you jump ahead to the 5:40 mark, or watch the entire video from the beginning?
The whole thing... Why? Was I supposed to jump ahead?
I had written at the top that the song begins at about the 7:30 mark, but that 5:40 was a good lead in.

Thanks.
Yeah, that was okay.
But I think Marty sounds and looks a lot more like Merle.
Merle, the Legend. Can’t ever get enough of the Merle.
“I turned 21 in prison doing life without parole.
No one could steer me right but Mama tried, Mama tried.
Mama tried to raise me better but her pleadin’ I denied.
That leaves only me to balme cause mama tried.”
Here’s a good one by Ben.

Wow! Thanks, both were great!
Thanks. The other brothers were very good too.
I hadn’t heard any of their stuff until now.

“She taught me the same things she taught him. He went to prison; I didn’t, so, definitely was his fault, okay? (laughs)”Good stuff!“Gramdma never did give up on him. She kept lovin’ him and kept prayin for him and he finally made it. She went to her Grace so proud of her boy.”
My friend’s dad grew up with him in Bakersfield. Said they got in a helluva lot of trouble as kids.
One of his sons was a doper and a little mean. Don’t remember which one.
A past friend knew his girl friend.
