Oh man! Remember college days, going to Shakey’s for the old tyme piano sing-along, cheap pitchers of 3.2 beer, and yes, pizza with Canadian bacon and pineapple!

What can I say, web were young, hungry, and broke ;-)

All you, pizza people, come on in, and see what’s shakin’, at Shakey’s!

We had a couple but now they only exist in ...Asia!

More local to us was Pappy’s! Pappy’s will make you happy!

Shakey's was my first ever pizza back in the late 50's or early 60's. Pizza places were rare. When I got out of the service in '69 10 days later I met my wife of almost 51 years at Zeppi's Pizza Parlor. We went to Zeppi's the evening that my wife went into labor and my eldest child was born.

I got paid once a month. Toward the end of the month we would get very creative with the cans of soup and beans left in our cabinets. But Payday was Pizza It was like Christmas the first of every month. It was the Supreme Pizza. Back then it had everything and you had to scrape the kitchen sink off.
