Ludicrous. There is no “line”. If someone wants to own and hunt with these gizmos...more power to them.
feeding ones family shall not be infringed.
sporting for trophies, set your parameters.
i am liking the double barrel bolt for home defense... won’t wake the neighbors.
Writers for gun mags are still writers and you have to suspect them in this woke fools era
Over the years a few have exposed themselves as weak on RKBA
I think people are conflating two issues here:
1) 2nd amendment - the government banning certain weapons...
2) Restrictions for types of weapons used during hunting seasons...
I think it is legitimate to have local restrictions for certain areas and certain seasons where only certain weapons may be used - in order to improve the sport.
You see this in any sport - pool for example. A league may ban jump cues or certain tips - it isn’t the government limiting your access to certain equipment - it is an attempt to keep a particular sport category competitive.
If high powered crossbows are allowed in bowhunting season - use of a vertical bow will become a lost art.
The argument for consideration here is if cross bows should be allowed for use during the archery season for deer. These crossbows are probably four times easier to kill a deer than a normal vertical bow. The archery season often requires skill, patience and more time than gun season and the harvest numbers are minimized.
Crowsbows on the other hand is much more like a short range rifle. It somewhat defeats the purpose of an archery season.
