There is a man in Canada who can only be alluded to as He Who Shall Not Be Named: Robert Hoogland. For the sake of natural justice, it is important to speak this man's name. He is now the Canadian state's prison of conscience.
The warrant was issued by a judge for the arrest of a father after calling his biological female child his "daughter," and referring to her with the pronouns "she" and "her." Hoogland was found to be in contempt of court. Hoogland is a father to a gender non-conforming biological female 14-year-old who identifies as transgender and prefers the use of male pronouns. Hoogland has repeatedly called this person his daughter, though the court has forbade it.
On Tuesday at 10 am Vancouver time, Hoogland surrendered himself to the court in response to the Attorney General of British Columbia's warrant his arrest for contempt. He was the arrested and jailed. The warrant was issued by Judge Tammen on March 4, 2021.
Hoogland opposes his child's undergoing "gender affirmative" medical procedures, and has stated this opposition again and again, in the hope of saving his child from irreversible harm. The Canadian medical system, the legal system, and the child's mother press ahead with social and medical transition of the child. On December 14, 2020, Hoogland was compelled by Justice Mazari's court to collude in the gender "transitioning" of his fourteen year old daughter and told not to call his biological female child his daughter. In response, Hoogland made a Charter challenge engaging his right to freedom of speech.

Justice Mazari then summarily convicted Hoogland of family violence on the basis that he had declined to use his child’s preferred masculine pronouns. Mazari authorized a warrant for Hoogland’s arrest in the event that he ever used the correct sex pronouns to refer to his daughter again.

This is the precise issue that launched Jordan Peterson’s conservative jihad. The Canadian parliament passed a law making it a crime if you did not refer to a person by the “gender label “ of their choice. Not rude, not tacky — a crime. The law forced speech, and to fight it would be expected to cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars (admittedly, Canadian dollars) to fight before the Guv’mt tossed you into jail. And, that is the estimate from the Guv’mt. BTW, this same law is already in effect in some US cities, like NYC. It is already here, because no one fights.
No, that is wrong of me. Some do fight, but not enough. I’m reminded of when DeBlasio painted BLM on a NYC street at city expense. One brave lady, a black one, went out each day and poured paint over the sign. A true heroine.
Under the current insane circumstances, the following question is purely academic:
Why doesn’t anyone, but especially a father, have an equal right not to be “harmed” or “traumatized” or “abused” by being forced to pronounce the inherently painful statement that his own flesh and blood has been mutilated and encouraged to embrace insanity?
What was that movie, where it starts out looking like something in the 1800s, a small simple village, surrounded by a forest that the people are forbidden to enter?
At some point during the movie, a couple of teens (or was it one?!) make it through the scary forest, only to find a paved road.
I think this may ne the only way to preserve our beliefs and education.
I don’t wish any harm on anyone, but Canada and the US are in serious need of some of that fatherly discipline the Bible talks about.

Sadly, it appears that Canada is only a few steps ahead of the USA in our rush to destruction.
In Nevil Shute's novel, In the Wet, written in 1953 but set in 1983, Australia has adopted a political system of Seven Votes, rather than the "One Man, One Vote" system used everywhere else.
"Everyone gets one vote. Then you get another for higher education. (David, who has none, got that for becoming a flying officer, which is considered equivalent, and probably is.) There’s one for working outside the country for two years—David got that in the war... Then there’s a vote for raising two children to the age of fourteen without getting divorced—husband and wife both get it. There’s one for being rich—if your personal income is above a certain high figure. The idea behind Multiple Votes was that those who had contributed more to the building of the country and those who had wider life experiences should have a greater say than those who did not.
