ATLANTA (WGCL) -- Surveillance footage captured the terrifying moment before two violent attackers ambushed a young woman as she got back into her car at local gas station in Atlanta.
The footage showed two suspects appearing to hid and take cover near the back of 23-year-old Jhanae Askew's vehicle while she was inside a Chevron gas station.
“I honestly thought any second was going to be my last,” said Askew.

If we paid reparations and apologized maybe stuff like this will be a thing of the past?
black on black strong arm robbery

We’ve actually reached a point where if you are alone and see a few young black people loitering near by, you had better make sure you have one in the chamber.
black on black strong arm robbery
Boy friend, ex boyfriend ... or Smollet style ‘crime’ ???
SPJNK.
not sure what they were after - the perps fled the car, after getting in it. Perhaps they thought the keys would be in the ignition?
Satan’s animals..... doing what they do!
Was she a Black Asian?
Apparently Asians are being attacked by Black Trump Supporters.
Of course the News doesn’t mention the Race of the Attackers, just that (President in Exile) Trump put them up to it using the Code Phrases “China Flu” and “Wuhan Flu”.
When you run those phrases through your White Supremacist Irredeemable Deplorable Secret Decoder Ring it comes out “DRINK MORE OVALTINE”.
Poor situational awareness and protocol. Lock your door when you exit your car even when refueling. Most keyfobs will just unlock only the driver door when pressed once, so open just the driver door, get in and immediately lock it. While at all times surveying your surroundings.
Terrifying moments before? What about the terrifying moments of? Or terrifying moments as? I think any of those moments are far more terrifying than the moments before.
Filthy savages.
It’s amazing this crime was even reported, being as how it’s black on black.
Wonder what would have happened if a white cop intervened and one (or both) of the suspects ended up at room temperature (where they belong)?
I was just in Atlanta....won’t bother going back to Phipps again....it’s just hood ratted over in such posh environs
Neimans at Lenox maybe
It’s amazing the paradox of Atlanta
Probably more Gucci clad black dopers and erstwhile rappers than anywhere per square mile in America
I don’t know how folks live there anymore....buck head is problematic and to the south forget it
Now Roswell...is nice..Alpharetta too and other areas
I think Atlanta may be the only place in the USA that has middle class black suburbs far from urban center
And I would not live in them...still problems...unmanaged youth
Atlanta is infrastructure and gleaming skyscrapers nice....very nice...but scratch the veneer and Soweto is snarling right underneath
Not as bad as my hometown Jackson Miss because Atlanta is ringed by white cash and international corporatism and has pockets of black wealth like nowhere else in the world..
It’s a weird place....we ate at the Bue Ridge Grill on west paces ferry which I love...as does wifey....surrounded by old school southern accent preppy whites people...my peer group....yet out beyond all the multi million dollar homes it’s injun country and Comanches in Yukon Demalis are making rounds you can bet on it
I remember my first time in Bogota decades ago and gleaming towers and some guajiro pulling his milk cow down the side walk to graze in a vacant lot
Distinct culture divides are ripe for violence
In Georgia, people’s vehicles need to be defined in law as being like their homes for purposes of self-defense.
WE have a stand your ground law, she should have used it.
