being a Christian doesn’t make people perfectly sinless- being saved simply means a sinner is saved - they are still prone to sin- that isn’t hypocrisy- that is a perfect God accepting people just as they are, and forgiving them when they do sin because He forgives past present and future- The only way a christian can be a hypocrite is for them to preach nonsense, or to preach we are perfect while factually being imperfect- I don’t know of any preachers that preach that we are perfect, or even that we can be this side of heaven- The preachers i know all say we ARE going to sin- over and over and over again, but that God still accepts us as we are because we accepted His Son as our savior- -
First, thank you for the short sermon, that of which I already know. That said, being a Christian does not, in no way, shape or form, remove someone from being a hypocrite or being ascribed as being a hypocrite. Hypocrisy is real, within both politics and religion.
Very well said, thank you.
I agree with your post, but I will add I have come across several Christians who claim that they are now “sin free” over the years. Whatever that means??
I’m saved. Got a safety net that The Sovereign Lord provides when I do sin. I repent - immediately and with a sorrow heart of remorse. Such is our lives in this flesh.
People need to read about the Prodigal son and understand that it is our God’s goal for all to come to Him as they are. He will transform them individually with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Sometimes it’s a very long process.
