I think you’re out of your mind if you think the public will give up worship of the vaccine as the great savior. People are absolutely giddy at getting vaccinated.

My Democratic neighbors and their daughters have been vaccinated(two shots each).
My former neighbor got her shot recently in MA.
They reported no problems.
I signed up the first day I could. I expect to have to wait a month since I’m 62.
Something like 50 million people have gotten jabbed with mRNA vaccines with at most modest side effects, if any.

You’re parroting all the propaganda of the anti-vaxxer cult, experimental, insufficiently tested, no FDA approval. These vaccines are not experimental gene therapy because they do not modify your genetics. They have been rigorously tested and proved safe and effective. And, they have been approved by the FDA.
Now, Bossche, in the article you posted makes little if any sense. His arguments comes down to these:
- We shouldn’t administer these vaccines because they will result in new virus variants that are even more infectious and dangers. If we followed this advice we would have foregone the most successful vaccines in the past. We would still be suffering from smallpox, polio, etc,.
- Bossche is also arguing that we should get the infection rates down greatly before we give people these vaccines, vaccines that would reduce the infection rates.
These arguments make no sense except in the conspiracy world of the anti-vaxxer cults.
These articles are dog whistles for certain FR posters.

It doesn’t appear to have blown the doors off. There are more than 2 millions doses of TRUMP’S VACCINES being given each day to Americans. This RELENTLESS PROGRESS of TRUMP’S WARP SPEED INITIATIVE is one of his great successes and is grinding this ChiCom pandemic into oblivion. Sorry you can’t understand these proven vaccines.

His concerns are predicated upon the vaccines not preventing transmission, but all the early/current studies are now showing that they do prevent transmission in 80-95% range.
PS: mRNA vaccines are not gene therapy and do not change or effect your DNA. Big scientific gaffes like that lose credibility instantly.
The current vaccines are preventative, not for use during a pandemic where viruses are mutating and new strains are being created. Mass vaccination with the current vaccines for the early Covid-19 strains on the newer strains, may result in a virus strains better able to avoid the body's immune system. Future vaccines will be less effective then they could be, because the virus will have some built in adaptation to vaccination. This implies that implies lock downs for the major were not the best idea for the Long term.

Pretty sure that is not true. Recent research shows that
A) The mutations are NOT more virulent, nor more contagious.
B) The vaccines work on the variants tested so far. This is because it trains our immune system to go agter anything with the “spike” protein (which gives the unique Corona, or Crown shape), including all variants tested so far.
I believe I read not long ago that they are estimating over 60,000 unique genetic variants out there already. In other words, the mutated variants are no big deal so far. All the hype about them was BS based, of course, on computer models—as usual.
That said, I won’t take the vax until long term studies are complete, or at least a year.
And worse is that now they want to experiment on CHILDREN.

It's not exactly rocket science, it’s a basic principle taught in a student’s first vaccinology class: One shouldn’t use a prophylactic vaccine in populations exposed to high infectious pressure (which is now certainly the case as multiple highly infectious variants are currently circulating in many parts of the world).
