Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria need to get ready in case there is an intifada after the Palestinian elections and the IDF is unable to protect them because of the ICC

by Ezequiel Doiny

On February 7, 2021 AP reported "Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’ call for elections has thrown his political future into peril, forcing him to negotiate competing demands to engage with a friendlier U.S. administration, mend the rift with his militant Hamas rivals and keep his unruly Fatah movement from breaking apart.

The presidential decree issued last month, calling for what would be the first Palestinian elections in 15 years, stemmed from negotiations launched with Hamas last year aimed at shoring up ranks in the face of unprecedented crises..."

The Palestinian elections will mend the rift with Hamas paving the way for Statehood and after that an intifada is possible. On September 28, 2020 Reuters reported "...In the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis, Mohammad Shahin, 24, often attended weekly protests that were held on the border with Israel in 2018, hurling stones and rolling burning tyres at Israeli soldiers.

“We want a new Intifada in order to break the blockade and drive the enemies out of our occupied land,” said Shahin, 24..."

If there is an intifada both Palestinians and Israelis will be killed but this time it will be different because the ICC will be involved. On Febriary 5, 2021 Reuters reported "Judges at the International Criminal Court on Friday found the court has jurisdiction over war crimes committed in the Palestinian territories, paving the way for a possible criminal investigation, despite Israeli objections...

“The Court’s territorial jurisdiction in the Situation in Palestine ... extends to the territories occupied by Israel since 1967, namely Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem,” they said."

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-icc-palestinians-israel/international-criminal-court-says-it-has-jurisdiction-in-palestinian-territories-idUSKBN2A52CW

The Palestinians will likely use the ICC to criminalize Israeli soldiers and commanders, Israel Hayom reported "To be clear, the PA's purpose in signing the Rome Statute and requesting the upgrade of its UN status was known to all involved. All the states that approved these moves – or failed to oppose them – knew that their actions were setting the conditions for the ICC to try innocent Israeli soldiers, commanders and civilians for war crimes that were never committed."

If Israeli soldiers and commanders are criminalized by the ICC many will refuse to serve there and the pressure for Israel to withdraw will increase, it seems Jews living in Judea and Samaria will have to seek creative ways to defend their communities if the IDF refuses or is not capable of acting there. Perhaps one of the options would be for them to create a new independent Jewish State, the State of Judea, with its own independent army, an army that does not fear the ICC, to defend Jewish Communities in Judea and Samaria.

Jews in Judea and Samaria have to defend their right of self-determination. On March 11, 2013 Reuters Reported "Residents of the Falkland Islands voted almost unanimously to stay under British rule in a referendum aimed at winning global sympathy as Argentina intensifies its sovereignty claim...“Surely this must be the strongest message we can get out to the world,” said Roger Edwards, one of the Falklands’ assembly’s eight elected members.

“That we are content, that we wish to retain the status quo ... with the right to determine our own future and not become a colony of Argentina...”

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-falklands-referendum/falkland-islanders-vote-overwhelmingly-to-keep-british-rule-idUSBRE92B02T20130312

The BBC reported "Of 1,517 votes cast in the two-day referendum - on a turnout of more than 90% - 1,513 were in favour, while just three votes were against.

It follows pressure from Argentina over its claims to the islands, 31 years after the Falklands War with the UK.

The UK government welcomed the result and urged "all countries" to accept it and respect the islanders' wishes.

The referendum had asked: "Do you wish the Falkland Islands to retain their current political status as an Overseas Territory of the United Kingdom?"

A referendum was also held in Spain's Basque region in 2007.  On September 28, 2007 Reuters reported "The leader of Spain's Basque regional government said on Friday he will hold a referendum on the Basque Country's future in Spain and on talks to end ETA violence, putting the region on a collision course with Madrid.

Juan Jose Ibarretxe said Basques will vote on Oct. 25, 2008 on whether to authorise local political parties to start talks on the region's future status, which could include independence from Spain..."

Also Quebec held a referendum in 1995 to decide if it wanted to remain part of Canada. On October 30, 2020 Global News reported "Twenty-five years ago today, Quebec came within a small margin of separating from Canada.

The referendum on Oct. 30, 1995, saw 4.7 million Quebecers vote on whether the province should “become sovereign,” yielding a razor-thin victory for the “No” side that garnered less than 51 per cent of the ballots..."

More recently Texas declared it would hold a referendum to ask its citizens if they want to secede from the US. On January 26, 2021 The Texan reported "“At the general election to be held November 2, 2021, the voters shall be permitted to vote in a referendum on the question of whether this state should leave the United States of America and establish an independent republic.”

That’s the idea proposed by state Rep. Kyle Biedermann (R-Fredericksburg), who has kept his promise to file legislation that would let the citizens of Texas choose a path back to 1836. House Bill (HB) 1359, dubbed “The Texan Independence Referendum Act,” would give Texans a choice on whether or not to secede..."

As in the case of the Falkland Islands, as in the case of Quebec, as in the case of the Basque region, as in the case of Texas,  Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria should hold a referendum to decide their own destiny. Abbas has repeatedly stated that no Jews would be allowed in Palestine, instead of being victims of ethnic cleansing (again), Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria should use their right of self determination  to secede from the anti-semitic "Palestinian State".

On July 29, 2013 Reuters reported "Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas laid out his vision on Monday for the final status of Israeli-Palestinian relations ahead of peace talks due to resume in Washington for the first time in nearly three years. Abbas said that no Israeli settlers or border forces could remain in a future Palestinian state..."

Although Arabs are allowed to live in Israel where they are 20% of the population, Abbas wants to expell all Jews through ethnic cleansing from their ancient homeland. Until 1948 Jews were a majority of the population in Jerusalem. On December 11, 2017 Amb. Dore Gold wrote in the Jerusalem Center of Public Affairs "By the mid-19th century, the British Consulate in Jerusalem made the following determination, according to this report, which I found in the Public Record Office in Kew, it states that Jews were a majority in Jerusalem, when? already in 1863 – that’s long before Theodor Herzl, before the Britt’s arrived, or Lord Balfour.

See the guy on the right, William Seward, he was Secretary of State of the United States during the American civil war, under President Abraham Lincoln.

When Seward’s term ended, he visited the holy land, he visited Jerusalem. And he wrote a memoir. And in his memoir, it is written, “There is a Jewish majority in Jerusalem.”

Jews were were expelled from Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria through ethnic cleansing by the Jordanian Arab Legion in 1948. The Jewish Virtual Library reports “Before the United Nations voted in favor of the Patition Plan on November 29, 1947, the Arab Legion of Jordan attacked Jerusalem.

Their forces blocked Jerusalem’s roads and cut off the city’s access to water.

After bitter fighting, the Jewish Quarter of Jerusalem’s Old City fell to the vastly superior arms and numbers of the Arab Legion. The surviving Jewish inhabitants fled to the “New City,” the four-fifths of the capital that Israel successfully held.

The Old City, including the Jewish Quarter, officially fell to Jordan on May 27, 1948.

Nearly twenty years later, during the 1967 Six-Day War, Israel’s army liberated Jerusalem’s Old City, finding the area completely neglected and virtually destroyed.

… All but one of the thirty five synagogues within the Old City were destroyed; those note completely devastated had been used as hen houses and stables filled with dung-heaps, garbage and carcasses.

The revered Jewish graveyard on the Mount of Olives was in complete disarray with tens of thousands of tombstones broken into pieces to be used as building materials and large areas of the cemetery leveled to provide a short-cut to a new hotel.

Hundreds of Torah scrolls and thousands of holy books had been plundered and burned to ashes…”

According to the Palestinians themselves most "Palestinians" are migrants from other Arab Countries. On March 23, 2012 MEMRI reported "Hamas Minister of the Interior and of National Security Fathi Hammad Slams Egypt over Fuel Shortage in Gaza Strip, and Says: "Half of the Palestinians Are Egyptians and the Other Half Are Saudis" (Please see video in the link below) https://www.memri.org/tv/hamas-minister-interior-and-national-security-fathi-hammad-slams-egypt-over-fuel-shortage-gaza

Lyn Julius comments about George Bensoussan’ book Juifs en pays arabes: le grand deracinement 1850 – 1975:

“…Bensoussan, threatens to stand the notion of ”Jewish colonialism” on its head: it is the Jews who lived under Muslim rule who were the true victims of colonialism…By the time the Arab conquerors had swept over the Middle East and North Africa, the Jews had been living in the region for 1,000 years…Under Islam, according to the eighth-century Pact of Omar, indigenous Jews and Christians were permitted to practise as long as they acquiesced to the ”dhimmi” condition of inferiority and institutionalised humiliation…”

“… Bensoussan observes that the Islamic order was built on a ”colonial” notion – submission. The Muslim submits to Allah, the Muslim woman submits to her husband, the non-Muslim dhimmi submits to the Muslim. At the very bottom of the pile is the slave… He produces incontrovertible evidence that, 100 years before Israel was established, most Jews in Arab and Muslim lands lived in misery and fear….Jews were regularly mobbed, robbed, their possessions looted, beaten up on the slightest pretext, or false charge brought by a jealous neighbour. Jews were feminised in the Muslim imagination – cowardly, submissive, unable to stand up for themselves.

“…Bensoussan”s great achievement is not just to blow out of the water the myth of Arab-Jewish coexistence predating the creation of Israel, but unfashionably to place the colonial boot on the Arab foot…A sovereign Jewish state in the land of Israel begins to look like the liberation of a colonized, indigenous people from 14 centuries of subjugation…”

An intifada after the Palestinian elections could lead to the criminalization of IDF soldiers and commanders by the ICC. A new independent Jewish State, the State of Judea, with its own independent army, an army that does not fear the ICC, should be created to defend Jewish Communities in Judea and Samaria.

Judges at the International Criminal Court on Friday found the court has jurisdiction over war crimes committed in the Palestinian territories,

Oh. That's convenient. They get to decide their own jurisdiction. Just one question. Who created The ICC? Shouldn't that body be the one who decides such things?

As if it would make a difference.

A STOLEN election. A real honest election would have had very different consequences.
