Michelle Obama reacts to Meghan Markle’s racism claims

Former first lady Michelle Obama said it “wasn’t a complete surprise” to hear Meghan Markle detail alleged racism within the British royal family.

Obama was asked about Markle and Prince Harry’s bombshell sit-down with Oprah Winfrey in an interview with NBC’s “TODAY” show that is scheduled to air Tuesday.

Markle, 39, who is biracial, told Winfrey that someone in the royal family expressed “concerns” to Harry, 36, about “how dark” their son Archie’s skin would be.

Co-host Jenna Bush Hager said it was “heartbreaking” to hear Markle describe the conversation, adding, “she felt like she was in her own family — her own family thought differently of her.”

Michelle Obama, unlike Barry, knows what it is to be black in America. Just sayin.

The biggest part of the article that made me vomit was that Jenna Bush Hager had to instigate this. There is no limit to my contempt for that family.

Someone can be an a$$hole and if you don’t like it, that’s fine. Someone can be black and an a$$hole and if you don’t like it you’re a racist. Is that how this works now?

Yes, you just graduated from the journalistic school of wokeness.

I find it really amusing how all these blacks, Orca Windbag, Markel, and 0bama, sitting in their multimillion-dollar mansions complaining about how discriminated and oppressed they are.

Black celebrities are becoming the nation’s most evil racists.

Just as there is "White Guilt", there is "Rich Black Guilt".

i dunno. I thinking that all blacks or all whites think one way or the other is wrong.

That’s why the race-based politicking or affirmative action is nonsensical.

A Chicago ghetto black person has more in common with a Chicago poor white person or hispanic than any of them have with Barack Obama (who went to Ivy colleges etc)

Meg is a grifter - the color of her skin is irrelevant. She self-categorized as white until she married Harry. She’s a grifter and is probably and embarrassment to black people

MeAgain self-categorized herself as Caucasian when she was acting, then changed it to black for Oprah.

She’s a bad actress and a first class scam artist.

My opinion of this is that Harry is a weak putz who partied hard as the spare and hasn’t done anything with his life. He is jealous of his brother — Willie has a wonderful wife who focuses on family and not intrigues. Willie will also be king one day while Harry will be a footnote in history.

Meg is a grifter. She thought the RF would be a celebrity picnic and didn’t realize that she would need to WORK for her money.

They came to the USA to become celebrities.

That’s why they trademarked “Sussex Royal”

But they forgot that they are Z grade celebrities and that’s only if they are in the UK. Outside the UK they are not entitled to their titles or any income. And without that they are nobodies.

Correct. Barry is the son of a Kenyan leader and a white rich lady. He was born into wealth.

Barry and now Kamala don’t have any slaves in their family history. They have as much in common with the average black person as the King of Spain does

it depends. Morgan Freeman has publically called for an end to “black history month” - because he, correctly, says that MLK is an American historical figure not just a “black” American historical figure

In case anyone is wondering, tripe like this is a perfect example of why no one reads the articles anymore. And yes, I didn't read it.

I’ve read that Kampala’s family owned slaves.

Booker T. Washington was a great American. His first book, Up from Slavery was extremely inspiring to me as I set out to go into business for myself due to sexual harrassment and unequal opportunities for women in the corporation I worked for. (1970s) He believed in diligent performance of one's duties in life, regardless of the way people may look at you or label you as "less than", and earn their respect.

Except for the slaves both of their families' ancestors owned, that is.

“...the thing that I hope for... is that this, first and foremost, is a family. I pray for forgiveness and healing for them so that they can use this as a teachable moment for us all.

“I just pray that there is forgiveness, and there is clarity and love and resolve at some point in time.”

I didn't listen to the full video, but these quotes from the article linked above are surprisingly decent of Michelle to have said. I will suspend my suspicions about Michelle's private motivations and instigations with this couple to give her due respect at least for saying these things publicly.

The news media, on the other hand, didn't lead with these thoughts, but with the race issue. It's shameful that even when black persons considered leaders try to calm the storm, the media just has to stir the pot. Because of who owns the media, and their willingness to be owned.
