The person who gave the erroneous quotes for the December 23 story about Trump’s phone call has been identified by the Washington Post as Jordan Fuchs, Deputy Secretary of State of Georgia. She gave an interview to the Post‘s Erik Wemple on Tuesday, telling him “I believe the story accurately reflected the investigator’s [Frances Watson’s] interpretation of the call. The only mistake here was in the direct quotes, and they should have been more of a summary.”

ah...from the Dan Rather School of reporting...

FWIW...Deputy Secretary of State of Georgia was a post specifically created for Jordan(Jordy) Fuchs by Brad Raffensperger.

If I had to guess, I would say Frances uncovered some really bad stuff committed by the SOS and his staff and turned over the call, forcing the deputy SOS to admit to it and admit to some other things she would have preferred not admitting to.
