Not sure about never working again, I had an office romance got in trouble but was not fired and worked at other jobs for the next 25 years.
My brother had an office romance, they got married, have a family and been together 25 years, he became a partner in the same firm about 10 years ago.
“ they got married, have a family and been together 25 years”.
My parents also met at work and stayed married till my fathers death. But once they got married one was required to quit (early 1950’s). However, becoming involved with a co-worker is not a good idea anymore.
