Yes, it is. It instructs cells to develop antibodies to the spike proteins unique to the COVID-19 virus. It does not do so using de-activated components of the virus, but the end result is exactly the same - immune system production of antibodies for the virus.

Thank you since this is my understanding and thinking as well. I got both of the Pfizer shots at the VA and I’m not the least bit worried about, whatever you should be perhaps worried about, after receiving the shots. Life goes on and I have lived, by the grace of God, 77 going on 78 years. So, what or why worry about what may or may not happen down the road.💁
