When senior living facilities started restricting visitations due to the coronavirus pandemic, Marvin and Rosie Hollingshead were unable to see each other. The pair has been together for 67 years after meeting in high school. They went on to have three children, 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Rosie Hollingshead started living at Valley View Village, a senior living community in early 2020. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Marving Hollingshead or their children were not allowed to go inside the facility. Rosie and Marvin Hollingshead would meet outside a window twice a week while talking on the phone to be able to see one another.

Government and public health bureaucracy kept them separated, not covid 19.

While here in NY State prisoners got in person visits, complete with physical contact.
But my 88 year old mother hasn’t been allowed to see a member of her family for over a year unless through a window and on a phone.

The vaccine proposition looks more and more like this: if we let them kill our elderly parents, we can visit them. Otherwise, we cannot.
The same thing is happening with allegedly terminal cv19 patients. After the attending physicians have denied the patients treatment, family is told that they can only visit their loved one IF they agree to move the patient to comfort care (ie. the hospital stops any treatment of any kind except palliative care). It is disgusting treatment reminiscent of 20th century internment camp treatment.
One of these days, a family member could easily go “John Q” on one of these MDs and insist that their loved one receive actual treatment. But better to get the word out that hospitals are where cv19 patients die, so be sure to have health POA in place.
Baloney!!! They have no shame.
