I’m pretty sure the Sun Devils are the number one party school. What “genius” goes there?
MIT, Georgia Tech, or Perdue would be better.

ASU isn’t just a party school. It’s a major public research institute too.

Plenty of genius-level people went to ASU, especially for undergrad. It has a strong Honors College, decent engineering school, etc.

The real issue is that 12 is too young to attend university and the elite schools understandably aren’t big into accepting kids whereas state universities often will if the kid has a HS diploma or equivalent.

If she is really that advanced, there are plenty of ways to challenge her without throwing her into a university environment. Bad decision by the parents.

The article states nothing on her abilities.

Has she taken High school level chemistry, physics, and at least algebra, geometry and trig? How about the SAT ?? What were her scores there?

Great that she was home-schooled, but she’s not ready for the real world of young adults.

Is she, @ age 12 ready to deal with mature content, and interacting solo with young adults and their lifestyles.... Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll ?

Doubt it.

She would be better served, at the local community college where she could be serviced (Calc, Physics, Chem, English 101, etc) more effectively until she’s ready for the big leagues of an adult program.

Perdue? Nothing to do in West Lafayette but drink, y'know. Ga Tech is not in a friendly neighborhood. MIT is fond of co-opting students into woke-tivism.

ASU actually has some nice science and engineering facilities devoted to actual space science and technology.
