We need an “Assault Politicians Ban”.

We need to revive the Locrian tradition of, "that a man who shall propose to make any new law shall do it with a rope about his neck, which he shall be strangled in, if he does not carry his point: which has been such a guard and defence to the laws, that there has been but one new one made in MORE THAN TWO HUNDRED YEARS."

The number of people killed annually with rifles of ALL types is still well below the number killed with blunt objects.

Right. And the trend for shootings has been down since the AWB expired. The exceptions have been democrat enclaves with tight gun prohibitions. Recently homicides with firearms have risen in these democRat cities in proportion to rising anti police political attitudes.

Also, we know who it is that commits an outsized proportion of violence committed with firearms. But it would be racist to address it so the problem cannot be resolved.

No problem. I was curious. Getting the magazines was a wise decision, in my opinion. Purchased a few things myself. Democrats will be pushing hard for whatever gun control they can get through Congress. They will probably lose some votes, too. At least about a quarter of their voters were against gun control before the election, but many of them voted for more spending for their government jobs and pensions and didn’t take the gun control talk seriously enough.

More crap from the San Francisco holder of a CCW.

IIRC, there were 7 CCW’s issued in San Fran...6 belonged to Feinstein’s security & to her.

What a total hypocrite.

‘The plague of gun violence in this country” isn’t caused by the guns-—it is caused by the mentally unbalanced persons using the guns.

Please correct me and thanks for your comment!
1)This noose custom only applied to the commoners as aristocrats could still act as they liked outside of legal constraint. Am I in error, could someone correct me please?
2)Locrian law could still be “interpreted” by enforcers as it is today. Today we just allow the definitions of the legal terms to change as needed by the powerful. Am I wrong about this, could you please correct me with my sincere thanks?
I intend to use this as was done by you, voicereason, here, thanks, and wish to be ready for deeper discussion with certain individuals, trying to anticipate the conversation y’know.

If [the NRA] cared, they’d be running infomercials on tv educating the masses.

Seems like I read about tv stations refusing to run pro-Trump commercials during last year's campaign, and refusing to run pro-gun commercials during the 'Super Bowel'. Kinda doubt the NRA (or Republican Party) would have a lot of success using infomercials, which most people immediately turn off anyway, to educate the leftards who vote for people like DiFi...

These informercials would not be pro-gun. For instance, they would illustrate the difference between an automatic weapon cs. A semi-automatic weapon. A bullet vs a cartridge. What a magazine looks like and where it fits in the weapon and is changed. Basic gun facts. The masses are extremely uneducated.

The masses are extremely uneducated.

It would probably be 'news' to most Americans, that the federal government is not sovereign - the people of the States are sovereign...
