During the annual flu shot program in September, we might hit 3 million per day, in the peak week in September. So this (4.8 million/day) is truly exceptional.

We are going to see a lot more of that in coming weeks, as supply surges, and we start getting toward the end of the main pack of folks 65+, looking for a first shot.
Like pResident Biden said, by May 1st, eligibility should be open to anyone over 18. There will be another logjam backup when all those folks rush for an appointment, but it will mean that the real priority groups are substantial done.

I can’t get into a dr office or hospital without one. I was actually thrown out of my lung dr office because I kept taking mine off to catch a breath. Most stores around here require it, but don’t enforce it. Got out of rehab for a broken hip a little more than a week ago. They didn’t require I wear a mask in my room, but they insisted on it if I wanted to wheel myself through the corridors
Thursday I had my second vaccination, and I have a card that proves it!

New cases are still over 50K per day Nationwide (although down from a peak of over 300,000 on 8 Jan) - so it is still spreading out there.
But there are lots of strong signs already, that the disease is burning out and being crushed by the vaccine (especially in World-leading vaccinator Israel).

As we know, the WHO recently switched the definition of immunity from those exposed to a disease, plus those vaccinated, to ONLY those vaccinated.
The WHO is set up to be a total control organization mandated to force vaccinations on the entire planet.
