Kaiser Eligibility has been increased re who is now eligible as per this email this weekend:
We’re currently providing COVID-19 vaccine appointments for:
People who work in health care, education, child care, agriculture, and food and emergency services
Residents of long-term care facilities
People 65 or older.
As supply allows, we’re also reaching out and offering vaccine appointments to members 16 to 64 who are at high risk of complications due to COVID-19 based on their medical history.
“Eligibility has been increased”
We are going to see a lot more of that in coming weeks, as supply surges, and we start getting toward the end of the main pack of folks 65+, looking for a first shot.
Like pResident Biden said, by May 1st, eligibility should be open to anyone over 18. There will be another logjam backup when all those folks rush for an appointment, but it will mean that the real priority groups are substantial done.
