I have followed Kevmo's link and found the following:
21. Battaglia, A., et al., Neutron emission in Ni-H systems. Nuovo Cimento Soc. Ital. Fis. A, 1999. 112 A: p. 921.

The summary for this paper mentions Ni-H and not palladium. That answers one of my simple questions: "Did all the experiments use deuterium loaded palladium". The answer is "NO".

Coincidentally, this paper includes Focardi as a contributor. I seem to recall an association between Focardi and Andrea Rossi.
