A writer hired to translate Amanda Gorman's poem "The Hill We Climb" into Catalan said he has been removed from the position by publisher Univers.
Victor Obiols, whose previous work includes Catalan translations of William Shakespeare and Oscar Wilde, told CNN Thursday that the commission was initially approved by Gorman's representatives, but they later decided he wasn't right for the job.

Ok… so I looked it up and read it. Supposedly she wrote it “the night after pro-Trump rioters sieged the Capitol building earlier this month” and in her interview with the NYT she said, “In my poem, I’m not going to in any way gloss over what we’ve seen over the past few weeks and, dare I say, the past few years.” The poem is rife with lines like this 5th one which reads “We’ve braved the belly of the beast….”
In many ways it was perfect for the Dem-Rat coup celebration when Bye-Done was installed… Why not give an apologist for the alliance of Burn/Loot/Murder/antifa and Dem-Rats the opportunity to justify what they’ve done to cities across the country by rewriting the history that we saw with our eyes and pretend it’s all PDJT’s fault.
