I wrote my senators about the egregious H.R. 1 vote fraud legislation now heading for the Senate. Here's what I got back.
When H.R. 1 (the For the People Act) passed the House, I sent emails to Virginia's supposedly moderate Democrat Virginia senators, Tim Kaine and Mark Warner, urging them to vote no. So far I have received a reply only from Senator Kaine. I expected little from either based on a previous response from Senator Warner regarding my thoughts about the equally egregious H.R. 5 Equality Act. Warner's empty and obviously automated email response follows:
Dear Mr. Stansbury,
Thank you for contacting me.
As we work in the Senate to meet the enormous challenges facing this country, your views and those of your fellow Virginians are very important to me. I am honored to serve Virginia as your United States Senator, and am glad that you took the time to send me your thoughts.
If you need additional information or if there's another issue that's important to you, please visit my website at: www.warner.senate.gov where you may send a message to me or sign-up for email updates to get the latest on my work in the Senate. You may also follow me at: www.facebook.com/MarkRWarner/ and https://twitter.com/MarkWarner .
Sincerely,
MARK R. WARNER
United States Senator
Although it was also likely an automated response, at least Senator Kaine's staffers sent a very formal signed letter that included his detailed endorsement. I lack a Ph.D., but I know that this bill is nothing more than a Democrat power-grab that will severely weaken voting safeguards to guarantee one-party Dem rule for the foreseeable future.

Will there be a judge brave enough to call a stop to all of this?
Won’t matter...John Roberts will ride to its rescue...
I know what it must have been like living in East Germany.
As a Transplanted Virginian...let me say as strongly as I can...Get out of Virginia, it’s a lost cause!
NO Senators and very few Congressmen give a DAMN what you think. Most should be in prison.
I frequently sent letters to my senators too and only received the standard thank you form letter.........
That letter looks just like the one I got from Senator Olympia Snowe re: abortion back in the early 90’s...nearly the exact same line of bullsh*t. That was the LAST TIME I wasted my time writing a politician.
I’m in Ohio and got the same boiler plate drivel
America's prescient Founders were extremely wary of federal power....... b/c it could be used against we, the people.
They wisely instituted measures to discourage the "bright ideas" of future "King George" wannabes--Pelosi, Biden come to mind, here.
Ergo, the Founders created a number of checks and balances to counter any royal pretensions by future elected officials.
<><> One measure was the ability by the states to “nullify” federal laws and even Supreme Court decisions. <><>
Nullification is when a State decides not to abide by a federal law, reg or even a Federal court ruling--simply by refusing to enforce it.
He wrote a democratic Senator expressing that they vote against a democratic bill...... Well duh!
You get what you vote for.....
Ditto—CT.
Enemy occupied territory.
The good news—nowhere to go but up....
we have far more to fall.
I’ve known that for years.
... Unless there is a $50,000 "campaign donation" attached.
I have contacted one of our senators over a serious issue and was brushed off to a bureaucracy that ignored me. I contacted the other senator twice, both times ignored - no reply whatsoever.
Point being, if it’s a sticky issue, they will avoid you. You are only one vote.
Our government has not represented the people for quite some time now. January 6th was solid evidence of such.
I know it is hard to believe, but the exodus from CT seems to have been the two by four to get the attention of the crazies in the legislature.
Recent examples:
—Refusal to implement tolls on roads after taking massive heat from working folks
—Elimination of state income tax on social security (that is a significant reason why we have not moved—_very_ wise move on their part)
Yes but I hear from my brother that the crazies from NY are moving in faster that lice.
Proof my senators don’t care what I think
—
That’s because you’re not their real constituency; their real constituency being whoever is paying them the biggest bribe.
I’m thinking there wasn’t a reply from Kaine who is all for HR1 but only a canned response from Warner
