I am desperately trying to talk my mom out getting of the shots...and failing.
I have a suspicion that my liberal sister has forbidden her from seeing the grandkids unless she does.
hate this
I’m under 65 so figured I’d be waiting awhile, but wife called from the school library (Librarian) yesterday afternoon and said hurry up and get down to the “Community Center”.....”They have extra vaccines”
Well raced down there, got behind about 7 people, filled out the short paperwork and 15 minutes later was walking out the door having received a Pfizer dose in my left arm.
Turns out they had a ton of extra vaccine because 85% of the young people at the Walmart distribution center just outside of town declined the shot. Now, if I was 20 and healthy, I would very likely give some serious thought to taking one myself . But, at 64 and a few health issues, it’s a no brainer.
I’ve had 2 Pfizer shots, along with other people I know, and no problems.
She will probably be OK. She will probably not have any long term side effects (few are thinking about the long term risks associated with the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines). It’s not all doom and gloom either. Maybe try to see if you can at least have her get the J&J vaccine which is more conventional?
However, you are right. “Pushing” people into making a decision like this through manipulation is not right. But then again, when have progressives and liberals ever been concerned about free will and liberty? Liberals often assume their ideas to be somehow superior and use fake ethical or bogus so-called science as their justification to rob people of their free will/choice.
