Husband: "I changed a light bulb today. "
Wife: "That's it? I did the laundry, vacuumed the house, washed windows, cooked three meals, and the list goes on and on.... “And you changed a single light bulb?"
Husband: "Yep, that's what I did.... I even filmed myself doing it."

It’s to warn aircraft away at night.
“Go figure, a light bulb replacement on top of a tower out in the middle of nowhere that shines on nothing.........”
Yep! I always wonder about those sea buoy lights out in the middle of nowhere.
I know that.....geez.
“Aren’t those lights mainly for aircraft in the area? I’d say they’re pretty essential.”
Like buoys. Lights have different repeating sequences.
Not only to keep you away but also for verifying your position.
“It’s to warn aircraft away at night.”
Like buoys, the blinking pattern is on the navigation maps.
I have become a house husband no kids but id rather have a real job

Watching that video made me DIZZY! I cannot imagine doing that. Even worse, going DOWN.
Probably a bunch of lights on the way up. And on and maybe on the support cables.
“Shoot... I forgot the danged screwdriver!”
Heh, many a fine man has been kilt by a stepladder!
I just put in a weather station this past summer, and attached it to my TV aerial on my chimney (I live in a ranch, so not a big deal) but at my age and up, ladders are killers of men.
My wife is terrified watching me, and I know that no matter how careful I was...it is only a matter of time.
Then when the batteries ran out far faster than I thought they would, I realized that would never work, so...I put it on top of my flagpole...:)

“12 step ladder has me shaking nowadays.”
When I was a teen my dad me go up and clean the gutters on our two story house. The back of the house was 3 stories high because thr back yard sloped down and we had abasemtn walkout.
Every couple years he had me recaulk the chimney.
Clmbing on and off the roof that high up gives me ptsd to this day.
Our new house has a really really steep roof and it is 3 stories off the ground. The amish who installed the roof walked around like mountain goats.
You would think that they would light it up with long-life LED bulbs so that any replacements would be years apart.

There’s a YouTube video of a crazy person riding a unicycle around the top of an 840-foot smokestack in Romania. I have an OK head for heights, but this video is not easy for me to watch.
Hope the filament doesnt get broke on the 1500’ climb.
Yep.. when I was younger (even 10 years ago) ladders didn’t bother me and heights didn’t either as long as it was solid.. I could look over a cliff, walk on a roof etc.
Not sure what happened or common sense took over !! Don’t want to be kilt by no ladder ;-)
Rappelling at any height didn’t bother me at all (Army NG, fun), but walking steel without a safety line did (civilian, ‘70s). Being hooked up made the difference for me.
