I saw Head East probably around 1978? in a little club/bar outside of Utica NY. They always had great bands perform. I also remember seeing Ian Dury and the Blockheads, and Nick Gilder there. Many more I can’t remember.

I went to high school with the lead singer for Head East. He was/is a great drummer too, and when the bands start playing again you might be able to catch him sitting in with a few bands in the Bonita Springs area.

That was probably the Four Acres. I never actually attended a show there, but I heard several live broadcasts on WOUR in the late 70s. Horslips, Johnny Cougar (later Mellencamp), and Renaissance, I think, were among them.

I liked “Never Been Any Reason”.

I did not know John Schlitt was also the singer of Petra back in the day until recently.
