Yeah, I saw that, and the thread. In my skepticism of polls and surveys, I wonder who was surveyed to get these results. Nobody asked me! LOL From what I see locally, it’s the stores mandating masks that make people continue with them, by and large. You do see some people walking through the parking lot and driving away with them, but I don’t think those people live in my working class suburban neighborhood, as we don’t see hardly anyone getting out of their cars or walking around the streets with them on.

And “even after the vaccine”? sheesh, well, I guess at least they know these Shots, as I prefer to call them, don’t do any good.

A PEAD becomes unclassified when a president signs it.
That doesn't mean anyone can get at it nor would they even know it was signed.

Beginning in FY 2012, OLC has been working on and updating a series of Presidential Emergency Action Documents (PEADs), first prepared by OLC in 1989 and updated pursuant to presidential directive in 2008. PEADs are pre-coordinated legal documents designed to implement a Presidential decision or transmit a Presidential request when an emergency disrupts normal governmental or legislative processes. A PEAD may take the form of a Proclamation, Executive Order, or Message to Congress. The PEAD Portfolio as an entirety is classified Secret; however, after signature by the President, individual PEADs are unclassified. In coordination with the Office of Counsel to the President and the National Security Council Staff, and under presidential direction, OLC has begun a legal review of the PEADs, to ensure that each of the approximately 56 documents reflects current law and adequately addresses the emergencies for which it was prepared. OLC's detailed PEAD review involves original legal research, review of other agencies' legal work, and a substantial amount of legal writing and editing.

Wow, where do you live? I don’t remember it being that many here in SE Florida. Maybe half? When we first “had to”, I would go into the stores making “baaaaa! baaaa!” sounds. We refused to buy masks, and my husband just took a second t-shirt and wore it around his neck, and pulled it up over his nose, until I made him one like mine out of leftover patio screen.

And now we have no mandate, but most stores continue to require them. I don’t know if it’s by corporate policy, or whether the (blue) county continues to override Gov. DeSantis. (Can they even do that? I’m too lazy to look it up!) But anyway, more and more people, especially employees, wear them below the nose as long as they can get away with it, and I don’t blame them. I would love to see and join anti-mask grassroots protests, if there were any...
