He wasn’t forced to take the drinks. He did it to himself. There is no one else to blame, or sue. He suffered the consequences. Unfortunately, this will happen again and again as young kids off to college throw off the shackles of parental discipline and get blinding drunk and copulate like rabbits with their new-found freedom from mom and dad.
The attitude is favored by colleges because they want kids to reject any and all moral imperatives they learned from their parents, especially those ones that mention God, and to do anything they want like barnyard animals.
actually this is pretty common in colleges and universities.
I know some private schools used to have ambulances paid on standby during certain parties on campus
