Ivermectin
My animals have taken Ivermectin forever without issues. One reason I know it’s safe is (laughing) a co-worker called out sick one morning because he accidently took his dog’s heartworm pill instead of his vitamin. He came in later after calling his doctor, and the Vet, to ask what to do. Both told him it would be fine since it was only Ivermectin and was safe for humans even if it was the dog variety. Every morning for a week the team barked at him when he came to the morning meeting. I was the team leader and just had to let it play itself out. He was a good sport.
