So if they’re going to make it harder to find toys for girls at brick-and-mortar stores, are they going to prohibit Amazon searches for toys for girls? I doubt it.
I don’t think I’ve every seen a boys section in a toy department. Most are organized by types of toys. There are building sections, science sections, games, sports section, Transformers, Barbies, dolls, etc. Having a girls section benefitted girls.
Girls could shop in the building section or the science section - there was no gender attached. The problem was that the toys were designed for boys, not that they were in a boys section. Few girls had any interest in building Lego spaceships or bulldozers. When Lego started making bricks in pastel colors with building sets like restaurants, zoos, and houses, girls were interested. Having a section for girls benefitted girls.
