I’d own an EV provided that: it’ll go 450 miles on a charge with the heater or A/C on full blast and can be fully charged at any gas station in ten minutes or less (or the same time it would take to fill an 18 gallon gas tank).
BINGO! And I’ll be impressed when a jumbo jetliner can lift off the ground and fly half way around the world on solar/air power. Until then, Meh.
Yep, I was thinking of driving from New Hampshire to Tennessee this weekend (long drive I know) and my planning consisted of hopping in the car and driving. With multiple stops of multi-hour recharges it just couldn’t be done in a reasonable time.
What you suggest is well-nigh unto impossible. And before that even becomes technologically possible, the Demo-Commies will have banished gasoline cars....except for themselves, of course.
I wouldn’t own one, at gunpoint. My 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee HEMI V8 is too much fun, and I don’t care about the electric junkers.
These electric vehicles need to come with a gasoline powered apu for heat/air and emergency power generation. Yes it defeates some of the purpose but it does make it much more practical.
