That was great! I had such high hopes for that franchise. The first one was so well done, and I grew up with the original series.
Sigh.
I could have typed that same post.
NoNoNoNo.....
Resistance is futile!
Is the cast from the last two shows coming back or are they going all ‘black’ with only a few whiteys in the background pushing a broom. That will be as successful as the most recent Ghost Busters remake that featured those seriously ugly women.
Hey I hate gay scenes and whatnot as much as any other FREEPER but I have to say Discovery otherwise is really really good. The production and plots are amazing. I am half-way through Season 2 which was the most expensive streaming content I’ve ever bought (I think I paid $35 for Season 2) but it is worth it!
There’s a reason the series is known as “STD” among Trekkies.
I wonder what Diktor Von Doomcock is gonna say about this....
Just another piece of media from Hollywood that I won’t be watchng.
They do realize that there are literally thousand of non-woke movies, TV shows and books that are available for “free” and that we have no need of their current, pitiful offerings?
I highly recommend “Star Trek Continues”.
Faithful to sets. Lighting. Etc. Has the feel of the original. After a while, you accept the different actors playing the parts. Chris Doohan, James Doohan’s son plays Scotty. Grant Imahara plays Sulu. Professional actors, directors, musicians that had a love for Star Trek put it all together. Several suprise guest stars. 11 episodes that tie the original series to the first movie.
So well done, that it could have easily been an actual series if Paramount and CBS didn’t have a stick up their butt.

I remember getting into the original Star Trek series in the 70’s when it was syndicated in reruns. Loved it. Everybody thought the show should be revived. Finally, they brought it back in movie form and then a rebooted series. And then several other series. I think we’ve seen enough of Star Trek now (and Star Wars, too).
That was so funny, I spit my tea!
LOL! Me too because it’s so true. Even if just one person says they are offended companies will give that person what they want, it’s completely out of control.
I rather liked the Stargate movie and series, but even that ran its course. It had it's flaws. Every planet they went to looked like some woods in Vancouver.
I have been trying to watch “STD”....gawd it is awful and sickening....
They should have renamed it “Perverts in Space”.
Gotta root for victory for the Klingons—the humans are so disgusting.
