Richard Barnett, the Arkansas man charged with breaking into Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office and stealing her mail during the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol, threw a tantrum during a virtual court hearing on Thursday, yelling at the judge and his own lawyers that it wasn’t “fair” that he was still in jail weeks after his arrest.
One of the most recognizable figures from the Capitol assault, Mr. Barnett, 60, was photographed on Jan. 6 with his feet up on a desk in Ms. Pelosi’s office and a cattle-prod-like stun gun dangling from his belt.
From the moment he was taken into custody, he has waged an ongoing — and so far unsuccessful — effort to be freed on bond, and he loudly lost his patience with the process at an otherwise routine hearing in front of Judge Christopher Cooper of Federal District Court in Washington.
Appearing by video from jail, Mr. Barnett erupted into anger after Judge Cooper set the next court date in his case for a day in May, shouting that he did not want to remain behind bars for “another month.”
“They’re dragging this out!” he hollered. “They’re letting everybody else out!”

For God’s sake. The headdress guy was AntiFa. Look at the pictures from the summer. He was in numerous photos.

I figured he would have made a deal by now. The feds own the entire system this guy will be persecuted in, and they have more than enough evidence to convict him in DC. Maybe he did this to attract a better lawyer. But no lawyer wants to be associated with "the insurrection" and risk cancellation.

No, they're going to throw the book at everyone they can. If they let people off easy then it's carte blanche to do it again.

I was referring to sitting with feet on Nan’s desk. That won’t fix the system.
Half the R party precinct positions across the country are open. That’s why the uniparty hacks are in state-level positions to block election security - because conservatives are too busy to get involved. That plus conservatives leaving their children in the public school system is why we are in such a mess. Rallies and speeches are great, but we need to start being proactive and intentional.
But are they arresting people that are still apparently rioting in other states. Arresting them over the Capitol because it was mostly Trump supporters and some people that just went to start trouble.
