The Washington Football Team is replacing the NFL's longest-running cheerleading squad with a coed dance ensemble, but the franchise is insisting that the move is part of its ongoing rebranding and not related to any accusations of sexual harassment by former dancers.
Washington began rebranding last year after dropping the team nickname, the Redskins, which many Native Americans found to be racist. The rebranding has no end in sight, and it is not known when a new team name will be announced.
Washington will not have the first coed dance team in the NFL. The Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots both have men on their cheerleading squads.

Oh...my! For some reason, my face hurts.
I think this squad just talked themselves out of a job. Good, bad or otherwise, they complained but had no real legal issues with what had occurred and now the squad is gone.
Paula Abdul, Jenilee Harrison, Teri Hatcher, and Stacey Keebler were all cheerleaders for pro sports teams before moving on to bigger things in show business. There’s a slew of others including Prince’s old squeeze Apollonia who went the same route.

Sigh... brother ETL, we were doing SO well with the real cheerleader pics...
Then... implosion....
In addition, the NFL will probably be adding 3-points to the final score for the game's most diverse/inclusive team...
One more reason to never watch the NFL.

I’m not seeing how having male cheerleaders would alleviate the problem of players trying to seduce female cheerleaders, if that’s what’s happening.
I suppose if it’s fans trying to seduce them, presumably the male cheerleaders would protect the females...I wouldn’t count on it though.
