The Washington Football Team is replacing the NFL's longest-running cheerleading squad with a coed dance ensemble, but the franchise is insisting that the move is part of its ongoing rebranding and not related to any accusations of sexual harassment by former dancers.
Washington began rebranding last year after dropping the team nickname, the Redskins, which many Native Americans found to be racist. The rebranding has no end in sight, and it is not known when a new team name will be announced.
Washington will not have the first coed dance team in the NFL. The Los Angeles Rams and New England Patriots both have men on their cheerleading squads.

I have long wondered why women - especially really GOOD LOOKING one - would want to be cheerleaders for a pro sports team.
Well, let me modify that - besides the glamour, and the chance to be seen on TV, and the chance to get a piece of some hunky athlete - given the possible downsides (pun not intended) and risks, why would a GOOD LOOKING women want to do this?

They refer to the group as coed.
Offensive on multiple fronts. First, there is no such thing as gender, so by definition, the group can’t be coed.
Second, the group doesn’t appear to have any trans. It is exclusively comprised of cisgender males and cisgender females.
Sickening.
I wonder when the PC “Cancel” crowd is going to go after The Green Bay “Packers”, claiming the name is offensive to certain members of the LGBT community.
I was a Tampa Bay Bucs season ticket holder... After every quarter the 4 sets of Cheerleaders would switch at every corner of the end zone... They were watched more than the game... 1980s Bucs were not good...
another reason? I never watched any game since 2015 and that included the last SB. I just read it on the FR and that’s the extent.

I was (still on the) season ticket holder of the LA Kings. MOstly blondes, and they even go into the crowd almost every half. The guy who normally sits to me would say those same cheerleaders, if they didnt make the Lakers team, would apply to the Kings next because the Rams management were scumbag pervs. Well, at least they weren’t fags..
Coed dance ensemble means queers and fags.
