The Monthly Fiber Arts Thread is a monthly gathering of people that love yarn and fabric of all kinds. From complete newbies that are looking to start that first project, to experienced fiber artists and beyond, we would love to hear from you.

It is impossible to hijack the Monthly Fiber Arts Thread. Knitting, crochet, quilting, weaving, general crafting - there is no telling where it will go, and that is part of the fun and interest. Jump in and join us! Send a Private Message to Diana in Wisconsin if you'd like to be added to our Fiber Arts Ping List.

NOTE: This is a once a Month Ping List. We do post to the thread during the month. Links to related articles and discussions which might be of interest to Fiber Arts fans are welcomed any time!

One of my better gift ideas, I must say - definitely not the “usual” - no fear that someone else would be giving her (great-niece who got one 2 years ago for her birthday) one!

If anyone is interested, here are the Egg Apron pattern links:

CHILD
Egg-cellent Child Size Apron

I pretty much made the pattern as printed, with the exception of the apron “straps” for tying on. I made a separate (really cute) waistband/straps, then slip stitched it on. It is very sturdy (an apron full of eggs can be heavy!!) and not super stretchy so it holds the apron up really well.

Thanks or the pattern I’ll tuck it away as I don’t know of anyone with chickens that could use one.

Forgive me for taking up space but how did you do that??

That’s the Elizabeth Bennett Tee, y’all, made with Zooey yarn, Juniper Moon, which I just love. A cotton/linen blend.

With leftovers I am making a baby sweater which I’ll post next month if I can figure out how to wield your magic posting wand

Here is the code I used, but I have to change it a little or all you'll see is the picture:

[img src="https://i.postimg.cc/MKhxVmZt/2021-Bennett-Sweater.jpg" height="420"width="315">

Change #1 Replace [ at beginning & end with <

Change #2 After the "315"> add this: [/img] but replace the [] with <>

To test, just "preview" your post - if you see the picture, you're 'good'!

Oops Change #1 should say this:

Change #1 Replace [ at beginning with <

Change #2 is what goes at the end

Thanks Diana! I have wanted to share for so long. Glad to have had help posting the pic.

I love making wearable items. Listening to books on tape or podcasts while knitting is definitely a happy place

My first socks made using the sock knitting loom I got for Christmas. They fit quite well.

A recent Infinity Scarf creation using a 'Mandala' yarn roll and a Red Heart yarn pattern; just a simple double crochet.

Good grief I am excited I have tried to post images to FR every which way and never succeeded. Hats off to Qiviut! The above are what I call "Diaper Pin baby socks," a pattern I have modified so much I call it my own. I have a little kit I carry around here and there, and use diaper pins for the stitch holders and to measure. Great way to use up small mounts of yarn.
