Creighton men's basketball coach Greg McDermott apologized Tuesday for racially insensitive comments he made to his players following a loss to Xavier last week.
"On February 27th, after an emotionally tough loss on the road, I addressed our student-athletes and staff in the postgame locker room and used a terribly inappropriate analogy in making a point about staying together as a team despite the loss," McDermott said in a statement released via Twitter. "Specifically, I said: 'Guys, we got to stick together. We need both feet in. I need everybody to stay on the plantation. I can't have anybody leave the plantation.'

We need to use pantone color codes instead of outdated subjective color spaces...or rgb or cymk color descriptors.
Or maybe the base pair sequences in each persons DNA wbich codes for their skin color.
Racially insensitive comments select any word or group of words snow flakes all over the place feel offended.

I miss the 70s. At Gonzaga, sociology students loved to use the rest of the undergrad population (then about 2000) as lab rats for their experiments.
A few friends and I were trapped into one while in the bookstore (then about the size of a large closet). We were chatting with one of our basketball players, when a citizen of Asian descent saw him and shouted (with a smile on his face), "hey, ni**er!"
As the rest of us were looking to hide from an expected fracas, the other called out, "hey C***k!"
This went on a few more times, by which time we figured out the game they were playing.
I know, you had to be there, but no one would dare try that today.
As for McDermott's poor choice of words, compare that to Biden calling the Governors of Texas and Mississippi "Neanderthals" for their orders to open their states.
I dare say President Biden's utterance is far worse than the Creighton basketball coach.
