"Questions have been raised ..."
"I never intended ... to offend ..."
"... I think I am being playful ..."
"... some of the things I have said have been misinterpreted ..."
"To the extent anyone felt that way, I am truly sorry about that."
If it weren't already a well-known truism in Albany and elsewhere that New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is infamously averse to apologizing, the weaselly wording of his statement -- issued Sunday in response to the two allegations of sexual harassment leveled at him in recent days by former aides -- made it clear: accountability is not his native language.
The passive voice, the couched, conditional language, the excuses, the justifications -- all the political equivalent of "I'm sorry if you feel that way." It was an "apology" that no one should take seriously.
Cuomo also denied the allegation of one of the former aides that he had kissed her on the lips after a one-on-one briefing at work. "I never inappropriately touched anybody and I never propositioned anybody and I never intended to make anyone feel uncomfortable ..." And the third-term Democratic governor has finally asked New York's attorney general, Letitia James, to pick an independent investigator to review the allegations, bowing to criticism that his initial plan -- to pick the investigator himself -- was, well, a terrible idea. But his latest statement will do little to quell the fury over the accusations and the withholding language of his acknowledgment of some of them. That's because for so many women, excuses like his are all too familiar and likely to fall on deaf ears.
I can't count how many times I've been told by a man who said something inappropriate at work a variation of "I'm just joking," "calm down,"

Look over here at the sexual harassment allegation.
Pay no attention to that nursing home killer allegation behind that curtain!
Boo-freakin'-hoo!
A dozen "incidents" over the course of an entire career! What man can't point to at least a dozen cases, over the course of his entire career, of 1) verbal abuse (incl. the assignment of disparaging nicknames, aggressive joking at his expense, expletives hurled in his direction, etc.) and 2) discrimination (expected to do the "heavy lifting" because he's a man, expected to pull long hours because he's a man)?
Only a dozen "incidents" in the course of an entire career?! Paradise!
Regards,
S.E. Cupp is a media whore.
This is one of the weirdest political events in my life time.
Biden steals the election, Biden has obvious cognition issues, Biden is financially corrupt, Biden molests women and girls - then, the Democrat Party and the MSM destroy Cuomo?
What!
To hell with her, she’s a media attention whore who, if we look back not far in the distant past was probably praising Cuomo’s leadership during the pandemic and carried the media narrative of the Cuomosexual’s out there slobbering over his failed leadership. We don’t need her and she should be shunned.
Clownworld USA. Don’t send them in...they’re already here. Is John Wayne Gacy still alive?

What’s next? Cuomo has illegitimate son story?
So what if he denies an allegation. Joe Biden denied he assaulted Tara Reid. And we see how far that went. Leave Andrew alone for crying out loud! /s
Guilty! 💀
Mistress Kamala gave the green ligh to cancel KillerCuomo.
Stupid remarks will take down the thug just don’t say aloud how he killed thousands.
Rumors persist that Lewinsky was/is connected to Mossad. Maybe to rein Willie Jeff in a bit regarding middle-east strategic goals. Who knows?
If Andrew Cuomo was being “playful”, I would sure hate to be around him if he was feeling “mean” (which is apparently just about all the time).
I do not like thee, Governor Cuomo. The reason is, I cannot tell. But this I know, and know full well. I do not like thee, Governor Cuomo.
“A dozen “incidents” over the course of an entire career! What man can’t point to at least a dozen cases, over the course of his entire career...”
etcetera, ad nauseam
There are multitudes that do not fall into this catagory.
I grew up with sisters... Personally I think I have had better working relationships with women then men who weren’t raised with sisters.
Today, anything a male says or does, or doesn’t say or doesn’t do, can be taken as sexual harassment and he is always considered guilty, and has no recourse.
Much of what cuuuooomo said and did was not sexual harassment.
Interesting that 3 bimbos all released their stories to the media about the same time. democrat central headquarters must have told them it’s time to tell their stories because they want to get rid of cuuuooomo and replace him with somebody worse.
The real crime is mass murder and the cover up.
“.... and replace him with somebody worse.”
Even the Dems will have to turn over some big rocks to find a person worse than this guy.
“Much of what cuuuooomo said and did was not sexual harassment.”
You could be right, although I haven’t really been paying much attention to Cuomo’s current issues. I have heard that a man telling a lady she looks nice, or complimenting her on her clothing can be reported as sexual harassment now. That’s just ridiculous.
Joe - I think I see the problem here.
Also, Conservative98 was candid and has legitimate experiences to share, and I am glad she did. You helped prove one of her points - right here on this thread - why it is difficult for women to raise the issue. Despite your being the recipient of destructive false accusations by others, that does not make her bad sexual harassment experiences in the workplace BS.
I never said it was.
