Remember when you could just go into Woolworth’s and buy a gun? Do you remember taking your weapon to SCHOOL and storing it in your locker until day’s end, so you could go hunting upon being dismissed? (That was in NEW YORK!!!) Good times.
When I was in high school in Florida, many pickup trucks parked at school had a gun rack with guns in the back window.
We had a pistol range inside of our high school in the basement under the gymnasium and every semester....one week of gym class was on the pistol range.
my how times have changed...rapidly
Release the Brackin, Joe. It’s been a while. I could use some good target practice.

Never took them inside the school building but left in in
our vehicles (trunk or rack behind the seat in a truck).
***Remember when you could just go into Woolworth’s and buy a gun?***
I remember those pre-1968 days. You could buy a gun at a book store, grocery store, gas station, bus station, hardware store, sporting goods store, Saddle shop, pawn shop, neighbor’s kitchen table, junk stores, clothing store, and many others. OR you could drop a check in the mail and it would be shipped to you. No questions asked, no paperwork, no waiting periods. Cash and carry.
Oh forgot, shopping centers, Sears, Montgomery WARDS, K-Mart, TARGET, J.C. Penney’s, Gibson’s Discount, TG&Y, Magic Mart, a small rinky-dink new store WAL-MART, and many others also had guns for sale.
Ah those were the good old days. Too bad I didn’t have lots of money back then.
