I worry it’s all over if the democrats pass that voting rights bill. The house has already. The senate is next. It’s an ugly bill that will keep democrats in power for decades.
I’m hoping the Supreme Court strikes it down as unconstitutional if it does pass the Senate too (hopefully it won’t), although the Dems seem to have intimidated the Supremes into refusing to do their jobs. Right now we can correct course via state legislatures, but the Dems are insisting on going full authoritarian and stopping them.
Our side really needs to be shedding a lot more light and focus on the fact that the Dems want to supersede all the states and force them to remove all safety guards against voter fraud, making elections meaningless in the entire country. This is so scary all conservatives and Republicans should be focusing primarily on this, and yet even most people on our side don’t know much of what’s going on here. They literally are trying to make US elections among the least secure elections in the world. Most third-world countries with questionable political system would have more secure and meaningful elections than the US would have across the board if this becomes law.
The Dems are literally talking about eliminating democratic elections in this country by mandating that anything goes during the election. There will be nothing to stop someone voting with other people’s ballots, paying people for their ballots, voting multiple times, pressuring others into voting certain ways or to hand over their ballots, illegals voting, people who don’t live where they voted, etc. No one will have to show that they are the person who’s supposed to use that ballot—no ID, no signature matching, no requirements the vote be a legal one. In other words, the worst excesses of the 2020 election will be mandated across the entire country rendering elections an irrelevant joke everywhere permanently. We’ve got to find a way to stop this, even if it means red states refusing to hold fraudulent elections at all.
