Watching this vintage Rush show from 1990 brought back many nice memories. I might even have heard parts of it driving around at work that day (I was a field technician at the time and did a lot of driving).
They need to make an iheart station that plays all of the shows sequentially.
I can’t remember years, but I do remember when I first started listening to Rush on my local station, he was on WABC for three hours, but only the last hour was nationally syndicated. So I’d constantly hear him say “as I said last hour on the local segment...”
This is exactly the first time I heard Rush, took a few weeks to figure out what he was about. He was with me most of my life, I miss him.
Let’s see who remembers what Rush did to illustrate this: SAFE SEX.
(sorry, ‘safe talk’)
Let’s see who remembers what Rush did to illustrate this: SAFE TALK.
I am still to raw to watch. Rush taught me to think logically.
I missed almost all of Rush’s shows. I became a 9-5 worker in 1984 and the only times I got to listen to Rush was in the car on rare field trips or driving to meetings, or when I was sick. I would kill to have a local station simply rebroadcast all of his old shows. All 30 years.
I would love to hear the episode where he coined the phrase Feminazi or first used the term environmentalist wacko, etc. Or when he first cited Rio Linda or said, ‘It’s 11 o’clock. Time for welfare recipients to get up.
Rush was at his very best in the early days when he took a lot of calls from liberals and just destroyed their crazy attempts to argue.’
Somebody needs to rebroadcast the entirety of Rush’s programming. At least the first 20 years.
That would be awesome!
I remember :-D
“I remember :-D’
I don’t know how he did it, but the sounds involved in putting the condom over his microphone were hysterical!
