It would be funny if some restaurant advertised an anniversary special and gave out free masks that say, “F*ck Fauci,” or something like that.

Can’t say I’ll be celebrating the COVID BS anniversary but wife and I go out to eat lunch and dinner at least once a week and usually lunch is at the local brewery.
No mask for us since they don’t work period for this type of airborne pathogen and watching those that do is kind of fun, mask under the nose, under the chin, outside walking with a mask, hiking with mask (we walk some local trails), driving in cars with a mask on, walk to a table in a restaurant with a mask but none at the table, get up to go to the bathroom and mask on. For some reason the disease will not touch you if you’re sitting down at a table... the lunacy proves the point.
1- Maintaining an elevated level of fear, depression, distrust and anger among American citizens - Part 1. Mandated masking and compelled isolation of healthy people throughout much of the country continues to be a powerful visual reminder that our country is sick; that we're all just one sneeze, one cough or one spit droplet away from certain death!
2-Maintaining an elevated level of fear, depression, distrust and anger among American citizens - Part 2. Conflating a "positive" test result -- as questionable and unreliable as such testing has been demonstrated to be -- with being actually being sick. Combined with creative manipulation of the virus cases/deaths statistics -- "if you torture the numbers enough they will confess -- has driven many Americans literally out of their rational minds and into a fearful state of abject cowardice.

The labs in Arizona have a 50% drop in covid.
Either we are reaching herd immunity
or folks are riding it out at home and not getting tested because they do not appreciate the government overreach into their lives.
If the cases dropped to zero, I doubt the mandates will relax here. Hard to forfeit power and control over the people.
Good suggestion. I will ask my bride, where she would like to have lunch, probably still outdoors in California on 13 March.
Why 13 March, that is the 1 year anniversary of my wife’s outpatient cervical neck injection at our PPO’s big outpatient procedure facility and hello to Covid 19 as it took over our lives.
When we pulled into the normally full hospital parking lot, I was prepared to drop my wife off at the traffic circle, then park our car and hoof it back to get her and go inside.
There were basically no vehicles in their parking lot, so I was able to park close to the entrance.
Inside the entrance, we were met by temp takers with their non touch sensors and then told to “wash” our hands with hand sanitizer squirts provided by management trainees.
They confirmed that we had a procedure and escorted us to an elevator, opened the door, let us in and punched the 2nd floor button. We were met at the door of the elevator and escorted the waiting room. My wife was checked in by the people we met in the entry way.
Remember, we knew basically nothing about Covid.
The huge waiting room was usually packed. Only my wife, two other patients with only 1 family member/patient were in this huge waiting room.
After about 30 minutes, they told us to head to the or/procedure room. There was one other patient there. My wife’s MD was scrubbing up. They had my wife out of her outer wear and into a gown as they were asking her and I, the standard questions.
In a few minutes, her doctor came up asked us some a few more questions and told her Rns to take her to his procedure area. Then, he told me not to wander off, as it wouldn’t take long. An Rn escorted me to a draw curtain waiting room with one chair.
Soon, my wife’s procedure was done and she was rolled back into the recovery room. 2 RN’s were with her and after about 10 minutes. They stripped her of her OR gown and started dressing her in her civilian clothes.
Her doctor came in the room asked a few questions, did the stethoscope thing and asked me to have my wife call him a week if everything went right. Previously, he wanted her to call and talk to him on our way home.
The RN, we knew the best started wheeling my wife and down private passage ways to a private elevator and outside. She gave us a hug at the traffic circle and passed my wife to another RN while I went for our car.
A couple of minutes later as I was helping to get my wife into our vehicle, I asked that RN what was happening. She said that our country was basically going into a lock down due to a serious virus. She gave us a hug and said, “Pray for all of us!”
Later as we drove by a shopping center on the way home, my wife asked, “What the heck was going on?” There were lines at Home Depot, Raylies and Target to get into the stores.
That was our introduction to Covid 19.
Later that afternoon/evening, I got phone calls from across the country from relatives/friends wanting to know how my wife was and trying to explain what was happening.
My wife had turned on the tv and was watching Fox news.
She semi jokingly said, “Tell my Doctor, I need more Versed!”
