Re There’s just some things in this world that humanity isn’t ready for quite yet.:
This is where I disagree with Q’s 60/40 truth telling. I think humanity needs to know 90% of the truth. It would shock us, yes, but it would also humble us and teach us that we must rely on God alone. I think there would be a worldwide revival of faith. I think, if most people are good, we would rise to the occasion.
How can AI games factor in man’s nobility, heroism, creativity, faith, and devotion? Can they really predict what we’ll do? Man sometimes chooses the unexpected, the futile, the high road, the altruistic, the noble path of self sacrifice. It’s facing the real odds, the Facts, the look in the enemy’s eyes, and our own fears and doubts that allows us to become something more than predictable/ statistical beings: the image and likeness of God.
If we KNEW, we would have the opportunity to sing in the fiery furnace— to dance in the lion’s den— to praise God and forgive trespassers as the stones fly at us. Yes, humanity might die; we might not win; but we would WIN... and, perhaps, many more of us would be saved.
You make some excellent points.
Hear our prayers, O, merciful God. Turn the hearts of men to You.
