Businesses are strange in PB County ... I’ve somehow yet to meet a “Karen” or “Chad”, and lately in the stores where masks are required, I’ve been wearing mine below my nose (even though it’s not real, but only screen mesh to begin with). I’ve noticed a lot of people doing the same thing, especially people my age and older. Although there are those die-hards who wear them everywhere, even in the parking lot and car. I notice so many of the die-hards are millennials, though. That’s disturbing.
In my neighborhood, you’d never know people ever wore masks, except once in a very very great while. (Then we point it out to each other, “Oh look, somebody with a mask!”)
Here the businesses that should know better, i.e. healthcare, are the most stringent about masks. Can go into Walmart, local grocery stores, pharmacies and not wear them and get no push back. Given the percentage of older people living here in Fla. they are the ones more stringent about wearing masks then anyone else. My brother in law is a district manager for a convenience store chain and even though the stores have signs saying masks “required” he tells the employees if people aren’t wearing them to leave them alone.
