Actually, volcanos typically emit cooling gasses (mainly SO2) and particulates (block sunlight) that override the effects of greenhouse gases emitted. So, if a mega-eruption occurs, cooling occurs. Our efforts to reduce AWG might backfire...

(Initially there was a hot summer in Europe, but cooling followed in many places, including North America. The Mississippi River reportedly froze as far south as New Orleans. Imagine what that kind of weather would do to a non-winterized power grid!)
