The Mara a Lago district is too blue for him but you know as well as I that he'll get all the attention during the election season. If he loses he'll still be eligible to be Speaker. Contract time again. As speaker he can crack the whip, not on the democrats but the rinos. Then he can walk over to the senate and do the same thing-encroachment. Entertainment.
but it would be fun to see the Evil Left (Jack, Jeff, Bill, Mark), Deep State, China and SorosCo (tm) spend a trillion dollars to stop it, also with 3/4 of federal and state prosecutors and judges filling their dockets on snide, meaningless, and utterly dishonest lawfare time.
1. The House had far fewer members.
2. The President had less power and there was no massive executive branch bureaucracy like we have now.
If the Democrats hold the House and Trump were elected to a House seat, he would be expelled if not denied the seat in the first place.
This is a sole power of the House, one which would certainly be exercised.
Only a Leftist RAT would have such a desire for Power, that they would do any such thing as take a lesser job after being President. Had Hellary won though, I’m confident she’d have taken such an action. Heck, the Hellish Susan Rice of the “Benghazi Lies” , is back on the Nat. Security Council for God’s sake. What a crazy world we live in.
It should be. Trump running for a House seat takes time away from him campaigning for other House and Senate candidates for 2022. Besides, Trump is running for the Presidency for 2024 and will be too busy with that to fool around with a mere Congressional seat.
The interesting thing is that you do not have to be a House of Representatives member to be elected Speaker of the House. The Constitution says that the House shall choose a Speaker. But there are absolutely no requirements for that office!
So if MAGA Republicans ever gain control of the House, they could elect Trump as Speaker even if he were a private citizen. (I’m dreaming, I know.)
Alberta-all the more reason for him to be speaker-restore the power of the house.
My friends this may appear like a vanity post but he’s speaking on Sunday. He should keep us guessing. I’m just saying that I’m happy he’s out there now that Rush is gone. We have options. Just remember we ALMOST won everything and the rats know it.
If you leave out John Quincy Adams (House), Andrew Johnson (Senate), and John Tyler (Confederate House of Representatives).
All of which would die in the Senate.
Why would Trump want to be governor of Florida?
You’re not listening-he’ll encroach on Mitch’s turf.
Trump does not HAVE to do anything
LOL! From the House? Trump could do a better job of that by supporting candidates and getting elected again in 2024.
Ok so he doesn’t run. Still every candidate would have to be asked about the possibility of him being speaker. Those that don’t can still get his endorsement in blue districts. A new contract with only 4-5 promises would do it. November voters will know he’ll get those promises done.
“Mara a lago”?
Really?
It would be foolish for him to run for a House seat. He should concentrate on getting his followers seats in the House and then go all out to be re-elected President in 2024 when this country will welcome him back with open arms.
Little known fact.......
The Speaker of the House does NOT have to be a Congress person.
It can be anyone........even one of us.......
It’s traditional that the Speaker is an elected Congress person, but it doesn’t need to be so.
My proposals: 1) No income tax on SSI benefits(seniors). 2) Opt out of SSI for millennials. That will make them think long term. 3) Education choice/vouchers. Blacks will like it along with a ‘discussion’ on ending capitol punishment. 4) Finish building the wall.
Schools being closed are a big-time opportunity to expose the system. For some reason we’re not taking advantage and the rats can bring things back to normal by then along with ,ore money.
Trump will have far more time and freedom to position himself for a 2024 White House run as a private citizen than he ever would as a Congressman. He’s an executive, not a legislator.
I thought the President and his DoJ can’t prosecute or investigate political rivals? ;)
