Wreckage of fatal TWA Flight 800 to be destroyed 25 years after crash

The wreckage of TWA Flight 800 is set to be destroyed — nearly 25 years after the doomed aircraft crashed off the coast of Long Island, killing all 230 people on board.

For the last two decades, the reconstructed Boeing 747 has been housed in a Virginia hangar and used by the National Transportation Safety Board as a training tool for accident investigators.

But the federal agency on Monday announced it planned to decommission and destroy the wreckage, as its lease on the 30,000-square-foot Ashburn warehouse is set to expire.

I remember talking to a retired Navy guy years back who said that in was not uncommon to (incorrectly) lock on to a commercial airliner while doing drone practice. IIRC he believed that the USN had accidentally shot down TWA800 during exercises. If this is what happened (which I tend to believe), we’ll never hear the truth.

It’s the only explanation that has ever made sense based on all known evidence including target practice in the area. Good documentaries out there detailing the botched coverup by agencies that don’t even investigate plane crashes. All to cover up for the accidental shoot down by the US Navy. That’s just the way it is.

I thought I was cynical of government back then. Now I just laugh. Little did I know these same agencies investigating that event, 25 years later were involved in criminally attempting to compromise, undermine and overthrow a legitimate candidate and then president of the United States.

I knew someone in that crash. A high school (track) classmate who was a state (CA) champion in the 800. Only state champion in any sport from my high school, to this day. Dan Gabor. Every headline of his life had the number “800” in it.

I saw footage of missile strike and there witnesses

There were photographs taken by many people on Long Island showing the missile heading toward the plane. The FIB confiscated all the photographs.

TWA flight 800 was a 747-100 that departed NY for Paris and then on to Rome. It crashed 12 minutes after takeoff in the Atlantic Ocean off Long Island. An extensive FBI investigation concluded a spark in the empty main fuel tanks ignited lingering fumes which blew the nose off the aircraft, which somehow gained altitude prior to diving down to the water. The impact spread debris over a wide area. This became the official cause of the explosion that killed 212 people.
However, hundreds of witnesses along the L.I. shore reported seeing what they interpreted as fiery rocket or missile trails speeding up toward the 747 immediately prior to the deadly explosion.
One point was studiously avoided during the public FBI explanation of the fuel tank explosion: no one asked why an aircraft departing on an Intercontinental flight over water would takeoff with empty main fuel tanks.
The FBI’s so-called explanation doesn’t begin to pass the smell test because it’s a lie. That aircraft was shot down using advanced military weapons. And, our government used the FBI to cover it up.

1st degree murder very much does imply, even stipulates intent. I think the intent here was to cover up, as this was during the Clinton administration, the summer before the 1996 election. Clinton ordered documents to be falsified, evidence to be destroyed, and testimonies to be suppressed. It was a disaster, much like the entirety of the Clinton presidency.

Given what we now know about the CIA, the fact that they felt compelled to make such an absurd video tells me all I need to know. Why were they involved at all?
