I think we can get the drift of the CDC cruise killing solution from that paragraph. Delay, delay, delay.-Tom
Even before COVID I wouldn’t set foot on a cruise ship.
Ouch. Going to be a very tough recovery in this industry. Curious as to their debt is and what the payoff period plan may be. Or may not be. Or just accepting bankruptcy and restructure of debt.
I wonder what it costs each day just to keep this company afloat?

Around $11 million.
Cruises will be a thing of the past. They will never come back. The governments overplayed the pandemic fear to get control of everyone’s lives without seeing the consequeneces.
Biden and the dems will bale em out...for a cut.
Sink them all, make some great fishing reefs in the GOM
Can they do Zoom cruises until then?
You called it!
Without looking at the finances I get a feel that the lines are in debt for a minimum of 15 years. Most of us have mortgages of 20-30 years, but those loans are based on us having income to pay back the mortgage. To me the cruise lines are going to lose their past income even when allowed to cruise and will have to pay back billions of dollars in borrowed money and some Lines may have to reorganize under bankruptcy or take longer to pay back the loans. -Tom
You couldn’t pay me enough to do a cruise, ever. Still, it’s a shame many companies will be sunk the to bottom of the Mariana Trench from covid.
No cruising forevermore for us peons.
The abandoned ships will be doled out to the new royalty — Pelosi, McConnell, Biden, etc., for their private use.
It’s going to be an awesome year for airlines, cruises, and commercial real estate...
“From the article - “Carnival has not been able to get test sailings going yet until further guidance from the CDC. Without test sailings, then guest operations can’t resume. The longer the CDC waits in allowing cruises to resume, the more vaccines come into play.”
The CDC and Fauci are only interested in reducing infections, hospitalizations, and deaths with an objective of zero. They view any activity as an impediment to this objective. Given their way, they would have us all in quarantine awaiting our government mandated food rations. If that ruins cruising forever, they would think that is justified if it saves even one life.
Is Carnival planning on putting in even more handicapped rooms?

Ok, let’s band together and buy all their ships when they go under, for
pennies on the dollar, Chain them all together out in international waters,
and move what little is left of the American Constitutional Republic there, while this one turns itself into Venezuela. (They don’t intend for there to
be any place to escape to, do they?)
